What are totals (over / under)?
The total represents the combination of the performance of the two teams involved in the event. Instead of betting on the winner, you can bet on whether the score will be higher (O) or lower (U). This is also known as over / under.
Example in a bet in Vitória vs Criciúma
If you bet on "Over" 1.5 and the total number of goals in the first half is 2 and Vitória wins by 2x0, the final combined score is 2. Then your bet will be considered a winner. But if you bet on "Under" 1.5 you would lose the bet. This is because the total number of goals is greater than the number of the bet.
In these types of bets, if you use an over (+) or under (-) selection and it is an integer (-2; -1; 0; +1; +2; etc.) and your bet is tied, you will automatically receive the refund of your bet, because in this case there is no winner. However, if you bet on a fractional number selection over (+) or under (-) (-1.5; -0.5; +0.5; +1.5; etc.) there will always be a winner or loser of the bet, so there will be no refunds.
Rules for baseball over / under
In baseball, specified pitchers must start the game and must last 9 innings (or 8.5 innings if the home team wins) for over / under bets to take action.
Rules for hockey over / under
For hockey games that require a tiebreaker, only one goal is awarded to the winning team in determining the final score, regardless of how many goals they score during the tiebreaker round.
