What are American odds?

Result odds are preferred among American players and are therefore called, American odds. In this format, odds are presented in positive or negative numbers.

The negative number indicates the favorite, the odd shows how much money you must risk to win USD 100. The positive number indicates the least favorite and the odd shows how much money you would win by betting USD 100.

With the odds classified as Even (+100) you would win exactly the value bet. A standard line, where the odds are -110 for both teams, indicates that neither team is the favorite to win.

For example:

Granada CF (+650) vs Real Madrid (-235)

If you want to bet on the Real Madrid, you will have to bet $ 235 to win about $ 100. Conversely, if you want to bet on the Granada CF, you can win $ 650 for every $ 100 wagered.
